Something all cannasseurs are familiar with and an important first lesson for all canna-newbies to learn. Always nice to get some research backing what the ‘folk knowledge’ in the community has been saying for years! Terpenes have a larger impact on felt effects than THC. With many cannabis consumers still letting THC percentage guide their selection process, here’s some empirical evidence as to why shifting your focus to terpenes will help you achieve your cannabis goals! Budtenders, feel free to use this line from the study: “The study concluded that pleasant subjective aroma, and not THC dose or potency, and also not the overall level of terpenes, is the variable positively associated with pleasant subjective effects. Interestingly, the researchers did not find a correlation between the THC potency of the samples and unwanted or negative effects, such as dry eyes or mouth.”
